- Bill has over twenty-five years of major
company and independent oil and gas operating, project, management and
consulting experience. Beginning in 1978, Bill has held various
management and supervisory positions with Mobil Oil Corporation, Prairie
Producing Company and several privately held independent oil and gas
exploration and production companies,
as well as his personal oil and gas investment and consulting company,
DL Energy, LLC." He has extensive familiarity with the oil and gas
industry within East, South and West Texas, South Louisiana, the Gulf
Coasts of Texas, Mississippi and Alabama, the Rocky Mountains and the
Federal and State Waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
- Bill’s experience with these various companies include all facets of
oil and gas operating experience including, direct supervision over
operated and non-operated producing wells, financial budgeting and
control, physical oil and gas marketing and regulatory compliance. In
addition, he has comprehensive professional experience in all elements
of land management involved with the initiation of a prospect, through
its acquisition, drilling, development and operation, and lease/division
order maintenance. In his career, he has supervised Land, Lease Records
and Division Order Departments overseeing in excess of 10,000 leases and
related contracts with annual lease acquisition budgets in excess of $5
million. He has extensive 3-D survey project management experience
having led companies in the acquisition or licensing of over 500 square
miles of onshore 3-D seismic data. He has substantial contract writing
and negotiation experience both in prospect/project acquisition and
property divestiture.
- Bill’s depth of experience is drawn from his responsibilities and
key participation and/or supervision in the negotiation and closing of
oil and gas prospect acquisition and sale agreements, credit facilities,
equity sales, litigation supervision and bankruptcy reorganization. His
ability to close the sale, mediate or manage the dispute and
successfully reorganize a company provides a comprehensive ability to
any oversee any oil and gas project.
- Bill received a Bachelor of Business of Administration Degree in
Petroleum Land Management from the University of Texas in Austin. He is
a member of both the American Association of Professional Landmen and
Houston Association of Professional Landmen, and was a Licensed Real
Estate Salesperson for the State of Texas from 1986 to 1991.
